How to upgrade the Center of Trade ( somehow I cannot.)

I play as Sweden. I took Neva (Saint Peterburg where it is called now.) , and I developed there to 15 development. And Novgold already bulit a market place there, so that I think I could build a Center of Trade.

However, somehow I cannot build it.


So...... I don't know why I can't build, is there any clue?

You can't build center of trades only upgrade them, which requires Dharma.

Maybe just bad English? In the title it says "upgrade"

As above,

1. You need Dharma
2. It needs to be in a state OR Trade Company
3. Can only have one lvl 3 center per trade node

This is wrong. You can only have 1 lvl 3 center per "state". And the max. number of centers is the same with your number of merchants. The more you have merchants, more you can have lvl 3 centers.

as others have said though, you need Dharma to do this And I am not sure anyone has mentioned it yet, but it needs to be in a fully cored state.

I found that I only needed to click the picture to upgrade.

Well another question.


Does AI upgrade the port? I have never seen AI does it so far.

Also, I have a mod and with it, I can build a trade center, but I forgot that was a mod.

I don't have Dharma, but the game keeps saying "you can upgrade CoTs," but I can't.

More than likely poor QA not testing the new alert to make sure it's disabled if you don't have Dharma enabled.

For me the game says that I can upgrade a center of trade, but anything I click in the province or province building menu does not upgrade it

The answer to that is probably in the comment above Yours, as it answers the comment, which says exactly the same what You said...

Also it´s a 2018 thread and OP said he used a mod and forgot about it...
