Is influence nation worth it?

Hey, I recently got rights of man and I'm wondering what the point is in influencing nations? I don't seem to get much out of it.

I use it mostly to get opinion up just enough for the ai to accept things, otherwise I think its a slighly useless feature.

The nation that gets infludenced gains +1 MP in the one its weakest in.

Its pretty nice to influence small nations so they will less likely join a coalition

It also increases Trust which for some Diplomatic Actions is an additional bonus on top of the opinion bonus.

I use it all the time if my finances are decent...for all the mentioned purposes: mostly keeping nations out of coalitions - You can eat half of Europe as a Sunni before the Christians even start to care -and giving my important vassals monarch points, especially if their ruler lacks military points so they don’t fall behind in tech.

it's a very useful feature when you have the gold spare.

I mainly use it to counter aggresive expansion. Can make a big difference , especially in the EU and dealing with the HRE.

If playing as say france i will be using it a lot.

Its actually super good.

You dont have that many means of increasing relations (especially if you want to diplo vassalize) and wrong religion, AE etc could stop you from reaching the needed 190 relations.

In addition to items listed above-it often saves you a few years on starting to integrate force-vassalized nations thus freeing up the dip slot for the next target...

I use it when I want to diplomatically vassalize another country. You need to have at least +190 relations with them and this can take a while if you are just improving relations. Influencing them is usually pretty cheap and it also raises their trust of you which decreases their liberty desire.
