need advice on how to no CB byzantium as Austria

I want to vassalize Byzantium so I can cripple the ottoman by the start of the game, since if they declare war on byzantium they will drag all my allies into the war. Problem is I cant get military access to Byzantium, and my fleet is too small to transport a decent army to byzantium and by the time I built a strong enough fleet, the ottomans will have conquered byzantium.

The only way to get to Constantinople by land is to have military access through the Ottomans. I can't think of much other than just declare war and hope that you will somehow receive access. Obviously they won't give it to you directly, but they might give it to Byzantium or if you can bring in an ally, they might give it to them. If they give it to Byzantium or your ally, then you would receive it as well.

Ottomans should give Acess to Serbia, Byzan usually ally Serbia so you can grab reps and some cash to fund the war and just be sure to keep 1 troop in ottoman lands before you peace them out.
If your really set on a defence war with otomans occupy but dont end the war with Byzan untill Ottos declare
Alternatly build relations with Mamluks from the start and ally once your war ends, they will join you offensivly if you promise them land

Did it without military access or Sieging konstantinople. I just occupied all of Serbia and Greece which was basically empty since the byzantine could move their troops through ottoman land, and now I am turning the ottoman into kebab meat.

In my Mamluks game I simply guaranteed Byz at the start which prevented them attacking Byz straight away. As soon they attacked Albania (and this meant fighting Venice) I attacked them too with my ally Hungary. In the second war they attacked QQ and I jumped on them once more. Pretty sure Ottos will not recover from this:

1st play as Austria. Right click Byzantium. After Dec 11 click declare war. BAM. How to no cb byzantium.

I took the mission, but didnt realized it was not a permanent claim, so I accidently wasted this oppertunity
