Im not sure about the vassals enforce religion, i dont think it converts a province. I havnt checked in awhile. But you can try then alt f4 if it doesnt lol.
Personally i would annex them and convert it myself. Though you could also vassalise, then just wait till they flip and enforce for the +50% lib desire. But as i said im unsure if it will work.
As a added note, centers of reformation convert based on the province owners missionary strength. So the more missionary strength you have the quicker your provinces will turn. (From what i have seen in my games anyway).
That was exactly my thought, since peacing him out would get me 5 years of truce... if he spawns a center thats bad then. I went with annexing.. better safe then sorry
