So Forming Byzantium?

So i seen a dev form Byzantium as Ottomans i just tried it and it's not possible to do it, You can not form Georgia at all there is no descision to do it i have tried making my primary cultures Greek and my State Religion is Orthodox i will assume the dev cheated in the playthrough to do so xD i was hoping to cheese the purple pheonix achievement :P, And about forming Georgian the dev formed Georgia into Byzantium

Georgia has different primary culture from Greek, so you need to switch your cultures twice and it works normally. You can't get Basileus achievment this way (as you have to start as Byz).

don't think you can form byz as otto. at least according to the wiki.

maybe you can bypass that condition if you somehow manage to switch to another tag first.

Yes, you first form something else (Georgia in most cases) and then you form Byz

Yes, you first form something else (Georgia in most cases) and then you form Byz

yeah you can't form Georgia as the ottomans tho at least it doesn't bring a decision up for me to do it :P

That's because your culture is Turkish.
You must make Georgian your primary culture.

Just play byz and crush ottos

[Tulduil Iphukiir]

1) Convert to Orthodox*
2) Culture Shift to Georgian
3) Form Georgia
4) Culture Shift to Greek
5) Form Byzantium

(optional: 6) For gameplay reasons: Culture Shift back to Turkish (bigger culture group and you are an Empire))

* I don't know by head if forming Georgia requires you to be Orthodox but forming Byzantium does.
