Trade Capitals
When choosing a new trade capital, does it really matter which province you actually pick?(in the node that you want your trade capital to be)

Basically, what i mean is, i know you want your trade capital to be in the best node possible. Im currently trying a Brandenburg/Prussia run and i want the Lubeck node to be my home trade node as the saxony node is horrible as a home node, and im wondering does it matter too much which province in that node i pick? or can i just pick any province in that node without losing out on anything.

I currently have a couple provinces in that node that i could switch to at any time but not sure if the province you actually pick as your trade capital has any benefits to it (would i be better off waiting till i took lubeck with its higher development and trade centre and making it my trade capital give any additional benefit then just picking any random province that i have in that node now already regardless of its development or lack of trade centre)

Obviously i plan on taking lubeck anyways but not sure if it matters to much if that is my trade capital or any province in that node will do.

Doesn't matter where your trading capital is in regards to bonuses, It only changes your home node. You could also move your political capital onto Lubeck, which changes your trade cap if you haven't moved it before, and then get the capital growth discount on development, augmenting your trade power, income, and production income

As said above: It does not matter (I far as I know).
I, personally, always choose a Center of Trade or at least an estuary (when there are more than one, the one I like most or the node's naming city) but that is just my personal preference.

In my current Aztec Game I moved my Trading Capital from Mexico to Cartagena (the CoT in Northern Colombia, near Panama) to the CoT on Hispaniola (can't remember the name). Hispaniola only won by personal preference against Havana on Cuba or Curacao or any other non-CoT Caribean province. Next one is probably Massachusettes.

Ya, normally ive only ever changed it to a CoT province in my new node as id usually always get one quite easily by the time i want to change my node, but my current game is being a totally douche to me right now preventing me from being able to do much expanding atm and with Brandenburg's poor starting economy, i wanted to move my node to lubeck asap, as it would increase my income for me to be able to afford a full advisory unit while still maintaining profit.

The last time i did a Bran/Prussia game, i ended up getting Lubeck totally by accident so at that point it was a total no-brainer and i didnt even hesitate to move my trade capital there. (attacked someone else who had allied and called Lubeck to war right after my DoW allowing me to take lubeck from them in the seperate peace deal)

But, my current game, i literally cant do a thing as the game is doing anything it can to screw me over. First i was just getting ready to attack Pom, when just as i was waiting for my armies morale to go to max before i declared, Poland then warns me, shutting down that attampt at war instantly. then years later, when Poland was busy attacking the TO and would no longer get involved in my war, i once again got ready to attack Pom, and then they go and ally Denmark, once again shutting down my war attempt.

I then figure ok, ill just wait till im elected emperor and then destroy both of them after, since i currently am a shoe-in to be elected having 5 of the possible 7 votes but again, nope, as it is now 1490 and the 70+ year old emperor of Austria refuses to kick it. Which i find funny cuz 90% of time i play within the HRE and want to be emperor he always tends to live forever, but if i ever do a Castille or a Byzantium run or any other non-HRE game, he then usually croaks by 1460 at the latest.

It dosn't matter at all. I did the same thing once as Brandenburg and moved my trade capital to one of the Pomeranian provinces. And once I controlled Lubeck I was the superior in the entire node.

Moving your trade capital in a province just determines where your trade goes into.
