Why is the font so damn small?

It looks like the writing on a Prescription bottle, I have to wear reader magnifying glasses just to see the damn thing. If I lower the resolution, the game looks like crap and the font is too big! So what the hell do you do? LOL...I've had this problem since I bought this mess years ago. It's not only the most detailed , plodding, anal retentive 'strategic realtime game' of it's kind, but you have to go blind or press your face against the screen to play it....lmao...Good God....I just don't get it. Why do people like this game? Maybe they get the magnifying glass from an overhead projector and stick it in front of the monitor?

I use it. Still too small. I have two choices, I can play the game at 1920x1080 and get a migraine from trying to read the font, but the rest of the map will look great. Or , I can leave it at default resolution which is what I used to play games at back in 1990 and the resolution looks like huge print from the Reader's Digest for senior citizens and the map will look like crap. Except for the Better UI...the font will be clear....lol..otherwise it's got a blur to it with no mods at all.

it's the tiniest font of any game I've ever played in my entire life. Tiny means tiny. I'm less than 2 feet from the screen.

Can you send us/me a screenshot? Not sure if it's a bug/ somethings wrong with your game or something wrong with your eyesight, gonna assume its the first option.

there's only one way to make the font larger in this game, that is with the resolution, it's been that way since the game came out. Everyone knows it and it's not just my problem. Paradox has never addressed it and that is why there are mods for it. 'Cookie'....1600 x900 makes it more legible, but it's till blurry...the map text is clear , THIS TEXT IS CLEAR...but the game text is not.

Question, what's your monitors native resolution?

Better Font mod 1.25 and a resolution of 1600x900 fixed the problem. Native resolution of my monitor is 1920x1080 which is very common for most PC gamers. It's a compromise between quality and affordability. In this particular instance, that's how I fixed the problem because Paradox will not. Thank God for mods.

Alright, just asking because i have 1920x1080 as well and don't seem to have any UI size issues on my end (i do have the font mod though because my friend told me its pretty much essential)

It's weird because majority of players will be in 1080p, as I am, and the forums would be awash with complaints about this if it were common.

I can read mine fine for example. Plenty big enough and I'm getting old and am shortsighted!

Do see people complain about it on occasion though. Maybe certain monitors?

I wonder if it's certain monitors too. The font is really small for me at 1080p. I have to lower resolution or my eyes get sore.

Alright, just asking because i have 1920x1080 as well and don't seem to have any UI size issues on my end (i do have the font mod though because my friend told me its pretty much essential)

I haven't installed any mods and I have no issues playing on my 17" laptop and I'm at the same res

as long as they are ironmode or something, no.

Mods that dont alter gameplay in someway are ironman friendly 99% of the time. Usually authors say if their mods are ironman compatabile
