Change Trade Goods
It is possible to change the Trade Goods of a province AFTER it has been transformed from colony to a province?

I'm sure don't want to trade slaves. Even in a game...

You can abolish slavery via an event at some point. But I do want to point out that I'm sure you've slaughtered thousands of rebellious civilians but you draw the figurative line at make believe slavery.

Eh, eh. Very good point. It's impossible to avoid the blood and injustice in humankind's history even in the make believe.

I'm guilty. And will keep the make believe slaves... :)

Many Thanks, but I'm playing the Iron mode. But I'll keep the tip in my mind and perhaps use it in a Normal game. :)
By even establishing colonies you are starting the clock on the centuries of disenfranchisement and oppression committed against those natives.

What's a little slavery on top of that.
There are events which can change the trade good of a province.
I think:
Anything to fur (but only in North America)
Fur to grain or naval supplies (also North America)
Several goods to coffee (South/Central Americaand Cafilornia only)

So, aside from the "Abolish Slavery" decision you have to live with slaves from Africa.
