It's bonuses are:
+2 Tolerance to True Faith, which is only good AFTER you convert the territory
+10% Trade Efficiency, which is pretty meh
It's really only 'decent' for building tall rather than wide. But building tall is boring and not in the meta.

But as Persia is pretty much the only Shia country anyway this point is moot.
Persia is likely to be the only shia surviving country after a while when the player is playing it. But it's far from the only one at start.
It's only the warm feeling converting the middle east to Zoroastrian :). I think the Zoroastrian need a bit love from Paradox (at least some events). However, even if you convert Persia to Zoroastrian you will still have a "muslim infantry" in an Zoroastrian country as Unit, so even more love from Paradox needed. I did it for fun and for the achievement "This is Persia!", the only proper way to get this achievement.
Props for getting the achievement as a proper Zoroastrian Persia.
