What are your favorite console commands?
I might sound like a noob but i only recently discovered how to use a lot of console commands such as yesman, winwars, norevolts, and the ducat giver cheat. What are some other commands that other people use, regularly or sparingly?

I never use console commands because I only play ironman. Gotta chase those achievements! lol

Console commands remove any and all fun in the game because you can cheat your way out of any situation. I've never used them

As Byzantium? Remove Kebab. Sorry, I mean integrate TUR. Mmmmmm, so good. Also, ignore the people saying console commands are cheating or wrong. They're just morons that don't want people having fun because they say they can't. It's a f***ing singleplayer game so stop whining about people playing the way they want to.

Also, surprise, I never touched console commands until like 700 hours of playtime. And you know, sometimes it's fun just to mess around.

Calling someone a moron for disagreeing with the use of console commands is extremely narrow minded and pathetic. I disagree with the use of them. I dont condone them, I believe that they take away from the fun. The strategy of the game is defeated by using any console commands. But i will say this, I agree with you in every way that they can enable fun ways to play, but if you really wanted the Ottos land why not get the DLC? (dont say because people dont want to buy them. thats a lame excuse for a DLC that lets you make a naton and is usually one for the top 3 must have DLC).

It´s fun sometimes to change your Religion before pushing the play button. A Coptic Castille or why not an Sunni France? :)

Made a scattered Europe one time :) Every province was a country in whole Europe. OMG that was a fun run!

I recently did a fun non Ironman game to see how much combat bonuses I could get (160% Discipline was nice, I don't know if more is possible).
By console-converting I ended up being Defender of Protestant Faith and Orthodox Faith at the same time.
I unfortunately didn't try if I could get every DotF at the same time ...
other commands you can use :
- adm [number] (you can also type adm without number and it'll give you 999 administrative points)
- dip [number] (same as up there)
- mil [number] (same as up there
- tag [countrytag] (this allowes you to change your country, for example type tag POL and boom, you change to Poland)
- stability [number] (gives you 3 stability if you dont write the number)
- tdebug (you can now see every province status, what ID, who's that, who has core on it etc.)
- core [provinceID] (this lets you core the province the ID you typed)
- revolt [provinceID] (this makes a revolt strike in the said province)
- annex [countrytag] (this annexes the target country, getting its terrains and army)
- observe (this lets you see the whole world to see how countries are doing, but you can't do anything except watch, you still can play a country if you use tag)
- time (what's the time?)

hope that helped

Mine is 'assimilate' when i want to do weird things to try out. It let's you core a province across an ocean, provided you can see it ofc. It immediately changes culture and religion to yours too.

As example, at one point I started as Connaught on the east coast of N America by assimilating a native province, moving capital and selling actual Connaught.

Change_religion is a fun one too, if you want to put a religion way out of place somewhere.

Not if you just use them to create a different starting situation. A what if?.. scenario.

It should be the following two chained together

Event 9469, which is the Lux Stella event that gives a good heir
Event 9459, hunting accident since it was going to happen anyways

My favorite console command is the "Ironman" check box

so many ironman elitists here. they didn't get the op's point and just going to flaunt their idealism. i play both ironman and creative mode. the later i played when i went after fun and relaxing gameplay. that aside, my favorite commands are

debug_mode
culture province id
own_core province id
tag country tag
change_religion province id/country tag religion

contrary to what this lad is saying. eu4 is a historical simulation game before it is a strategy game. console command is the very element of eu4 if you want to dig the true purpose of what the game was meant to be as it provides you option to rewrite the history in another level than what are you capable of in ironman. you might argue all i need is to git gud, but there are just many fun things that are practically impossible to achieve without console command. like recreating european hegemony where multiple european big powers own every province on the map or spawning greece and greek states in middle of india

remember, kids. the greatest achievement in eu4 is having fun

I'd like to say that even with my having thousands of hours in this game I have never played a single game that was 'historically accurate'. The AI doesn't follow any rule of being 'historically accurate'. I find that each and every game is different in some way. In part this is due to the choices you and the AI make on each pop-up screen.

I'm not trying to tell you to 'get gud' but that comment says a lot about your skill level. That's not saying that i am any better than you are at the game as there are many aspects of the game, even with thousands of hours of play time, that I struggle with.

I, however, don't use console commands as I always play in Ironman mode. I play to [try to] acquire the achievements. My philosophy is that Ironman mode challenges your skill level whereas console commands makes it to tempting to plug in advantages for yourself. Many seem to believe this or something similar. It's also explains why many believe using console commands or mods is a form of cheating.

rewrite history as in alternate history. eu4 a.i is never trying to be historical accurate to begin with, but that is out of our will and sometime in contrast you also want it to be historically accurate. only console commands can fix that. my skill might not be as good, but if my preference in having fun dictated you to make such claim, i gotta rebut it right there. as i said, i played ironman as well and came up with handful achievements, not plenty, but i won't let them to dictate me how to have fun with the game
