EUIV and DLCs heavily discounted on Ingiegogo
Hi Guys,

I was the guy who posted in the forum asking about how often the game is discounted as I had been waiting a while for a deal on the game on Steam. Well due to a post in another forum, I used isthereanydeal.com and found big discounts on Europa 4 and DLCs at IndieGala.com. I'm sharing this here in case anyone else was waiting to find it on discount.

I'm planning to get the collection with a ton of DLCs as it's so cheap.

If anyone recommends DLCs outside of the collections package let me know.

Thanks,

Gabriel

Ok so they have the collection but it includes way less then the steam collection bundle does? https://www.indiegala.com/store/product/europa-universalis-iv-collection/236850_collection - anyone recommend/not recommend this? My budget is about $50 so thought this was a good purchase but now I see it's missing DLCs like Art of War. I guess if I buy the collection I would need to buy those individually to add on?

I see a lot of unit packs (as I would expect of a full collection), but only three of the major expansions; given the items included, this looks to me like a very old version of the full collection

In principle, I would not recommend this, because you're spending a lot of money on DLC that are purely cosmetic. That's a critique of buying the full collection in general, though. If you want the full collection anyway, the price being offered here seems competitive at a glance. But I'll again recommend you not buy the full collection if you haven't yet played the game.

Thank you so much compassionate - what do you think about the Empire Founder bundle instead? Seems a few dollars less on their site... https://www.indiegala.com/store/product/europa-universalis-iv-empire-founder-pack/5173

Some people recommended that new payers get those DLCs anyway so maybe that's better?

Also it seems strange to me they would sell an out of date collection, I would think it's by license so if Paradox updates it, all sells sell an updated version, but I guess it doesn't work that way?

Empire Founder Pack is ok. Both Art of War and Rights of Man are useful DLCs and worth to buy at 50%. Common Sense is pretty useless now that they moved best feature from it to base game.

But if you can get base game with 75% off and AoW + RoM with 50% and not buy CS, then buying them separately could be cheaper.

I have never bought any Unit packs, these are purely visual and you need to zoom in to actually see the units.

I still recommend trying base game only first, with 75% off it is cheap enough to not worry about the cost. Once you have tried base game for few weeks, you will know if the game is worth your time and extra investments or not. None of the extra DLCs will transform the game into totally different experience, and if you find base game boring and annoying, no DLC will change that.

The discount is not even good. Just 50%...

Base game goes down to 75%, DLCs are always 50% off.

tonypa - thank you so much, very helpful.

Rabob - the base game is only $9.99 on Indiegala - best deal I can find anywhere - if you find better let us know...

Hi Rabob, thank you so much - this definitely contains stores with cheaper prices, but someone posted in another thread that if it's not on isthereanydeal.com, then it's not a "legit" store (or in other words they are selling keys that are not legal - people usually selling used-keys) and the two stores I checked are not on isthereanydeal.com - do you know if this is the case?

Voidu and instant gaming seem legit for instance. But grey marketplaces like the pinguin and g 2-a I would avoid as much as possible since anyone can dump a key on there.

Or to test: type the name of the site to a friend. If Steam censors it, avoid it ;)

Rabob and all - now I have another issue - so Instant Gaming has EU IV for sale, but it says region "worldwide" - is that appropriate for US players?

I assume this means that the version of the game they are selling is distributed worldwide. (Some video games have different versions in different regions; EUIV is not one of them.)

Surely it is up to you to know which store you spend your money in, but I would be somewhat careful if the simple search brings up this kind of reviews:
https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.com

Which pretty much applies to all of the "cheap" sites.

P.S. So, Steam has blocked the site url already, not a good start.
