Ways to move capital into new world?
I wanted to go for the 'Sleepless Seattle' achievement, which meant i had to get 10 coffee provinces and my capital in the Alaskan province Salish. I thought that you had to have 50 % of your entire dev in the desired continent where you wanted to put your new capital in, however this is not the case. When i wanted to click the 'change capital' button it said: We cannot move your capital to a a colonial region, not while we still have a big heartland around it. Only when our capital is the only province in a state on that continent, will it be possible.

What the hell does that mean?

Now i know there is a cheesy way to force your capital into the new world, by unaccepting your accepting cultures, colonize a province in the new world which has your primary culture and religion ofcourse, and then giving away all your primary culture provinces in Europe. However i feel like there has to be an easier way. I hope someone could help me!

Wiki says same thing using slightly different words:

The capital can only be moved from a non-colonial region to a colonial region if the current capital is the last state province on that continent, while also isolated from the other territorial cores on that continent.
Not sure how to explain it better.

You have to unstate every province except for your capitol region. Your capitol must also be completely isolated. The easiest way is to move your capitol to an island before unstating provinces. The other way is to create a vassal and feed them the land around your capitol, so none of your other territory is touching it. Then you just need at least 50% of development in the new world. Once you've done all of that, you can move the capitol.

I saw Florry do it by stating land in let’s say Mexico for his example. You have just enough state dev there to make your primary culture after unstating basically everything you have in the old world. Then while having 100% warscore (with 100% warscore you can enforce any peace deal even one in which you lose) on someone who is weak enough to get the land back easily but close enough to have the range, you offer them your capital and maybe the rest of that state. Because you now no longer own anything that is of your culture in the old world the game defaults to the nearest provinces with your culture to make your capital. So now you have your capital in a colonial region without having to deal with the 50% of your dev having to be there.

I also assume that this trick only works for places where it has already been colonized because starting new colonies in a colonial region just switches the provincial culture to your primary culture by default. So somewhere like Mexico, Colombia, or Peru are the ideal places to use for this trick.

There used to be (and probably still is) an additional rule that you cannot simply move your capital into a colonial region when it is not in a colonial region.
However, you could always move your capital to any same-continent province.

Therefore you had to move your capital first to a province that is part of the American continent but not part of any colonial region (Greenland, Bermuda, Falklands, South Georgia, Easter Island, Hawaii, Midway) and from there to mainland America.

However, the "easiest" way to get Sleepless in Seattle is probably to start in AMerica and combine it with other Native American achievements. Coffe is a possible good in America so just colonize enough to get 10 coffee provinces and Salish (and survive the Europeans).
