Paradox account?

First I always played via steam EU4 but since today I need a Paradox Account? Is your Paradox account the same as your steam account? I ask this because I can't get in the game like usually...?

Anybody who knows more about this?

you can link steam directly to paradox making your steam account your paradox account

you do not need to make an account. I dont have one and still dont and am able to play the game. there is an option to skip the account and go to the game.

This really sux. I am not happy (I know who cares), but to have Steam / Paradox just wipe out access is just plain wrong. I paid good money to play and it is making me rethink the whole Steam access thing. Why bother if you just get your game disabled midway and not allowed to play what you paid for.
