Yes this is a thing and it is pretty op. If done correctly one could get cores on 2/3 of China and then just easily take it all for absolutely no cost. On top of that it counts FOR VASSALS TOO lol
Only problem being that Ming cant exist for this mission and it can happen that they end up with 1 province in the middle of China and none of the other Chinese ♥♥♥♥♥ wants to conquer them.
Heck, in my last game they ended up as an OPM with Dali as a vassal and that fkin idiot didnt want to break free even tho 3 nations guaranteed his independence.
Just look through the missions.
Basically after first rather easy missions you get one "own 25 provinces in North China area" - which is pretty easy considering Shun will break free rather fast.
Next one is "province in South China with 25 or more development is occupied (not owned) by Qing and has 20 devastation"
And then the actual one of which i forgot the 2nd part - the 1st part is "Ming does not exist"
So basically you only need 25 provinces in North China and manage to kill Ming completely and you get cores on the whole rest.
