Can't install launcher (code 1619)

I tried to start the game, but i can't even install the launcher. It crashes with exit-code 1619.
Does someone have an idea?
I deinstalled and reinstalled the game allready..

I had to restart my pc after installing the game to get the launcher to install

you're not alone my friend! I share the same problem you have and i think it has to do with the new 1.29 update.

Restart PC. You may need to exclude EU4 folder in your antivirus software.

Go to /Steam/steamapps/common/EU4/

run launcher-installer-windows.msi

after that run dowser.exe in same folder as Admin

I tried this, but doesn't work. When i try to run launcher-installer-windows.msi i get through the first steps of the insatll but on the last point (when i click the 'install'-button) i get the error 'Error reading from file '... \launcher-installer-windows.msi' Verify that the file exists and that you can access it'.
Well, the file exists and i can access it (i just started it) .
I'll be thankful for any other suggestion...

There is no alternative. They told me that to fix the problem they must release a patch

I solved it:
I copied the launcher-installer-windows.msi to c:\users\username\downloads and started it from there. Launcher Installation runs without trouble. After that i started the game from steam...
The launcher started and i could start the game. Now it runs so far without any trouble.
It was just the failing launcher installation...

I tried everything, including this suggestion, but it didn't work either. We must wait for the Paradox to resolve. If it still does not work within a couple of days, I will ask for a full refund, as it has not even started. I'm sorry

there is a simple and effective solution: return to the previous version of the game. simple!

A friend of mine told me, he had to deinstall riva tuner, a graphic-chip tuning program. After that the game worked for him too...
