Oda, Shimazu or Japanese ideas

This is a common question but still

Out of the Oda and Shimazu, which are the best for becoming the prussia of Asia

And then, are the Japanese ideas worth replacing this Prussia Japan ideas?

Having just formed Japan with Oda, gotta state that those ideas trump any. Only reason I could envisage for selecting Japanese ideas over the oda is if youre planning to grab as many colonies as poss before the usual suspects arrive.

Nice, and would you recommend forming Japan or stick with the shogunate government type?

shogunate government type good if gona have daimyo vassals

I went with Japan but the shogun gov is unique with a couple of useful decisions.

However, it becomes a little obsolete for me after all the vassals are gone, its no Prussian government type.

I was thinking to do this but since Japan is such an odd country in the region i'll virtually never get allies so I won't even be using my diplomatic relations so going over is not a problem for me

Plus Daimyos can still fight each other and I can't enforce my religion on them when I eventually flip to Catholic
