What are the seven cities of gold???
I have a button on my army with a conquistador to search for the seven cities of gold, I am really confused, what are them? and do they have specific locations or are random?

It's just automized exploration of american land. It has some random events but the really important ones/cities are very rare.

Some of the american natives have these cities. It's an auto explore feature for the americas, it will give you events with the natives.

Oh well I just found one, Cibola, and got +0.25 yearly prestige till the end of the game, thx for clearing things up

Those cities are purely event-based as far as I understand. You just press the button and do whatever else while occasionally answering events from conquistador.

It is technically possible to find all 7 in one game but the chances are so incredibly low that it's not worth considering. I don't think I've ever found more than 3.
