After many many many tries i can say your looking for abit of luck and ottomans to go after Albania.
Pick up the baltic allies but not all of them or Ottomans will have no choice but to come for you.
Focus on those with a Navy as priority tho its mainly defensive at this point.
When Ottos go for Albania they will bring in Venice. this is time for you to expand against Venice and his minors naxos/knights/corfu with Serbia if you allied them.
If Hungry joins with Albania leave Venice for now and Albania should return your cores if when they win allowing you to get the Allies you Deserve and the option of taking on a weak ottomans to get the Bulgarian lands with your Naval based Allies
Byz got very easy this patch, as long as Ottomans don't dec on you first.
Ottos get smashed 1 in 50 for me and defeated by Albania only 1-10 they usually white peace if they war early as hungry doesnt always ally them. Not once have ive seem them destroyed except when i did it myself. Byzan infact got alot harder than previous
I've had it happen in all 4 of my playthroughs now this patch. Kinda ruined the game for me since my Mamluks, Muscovy, Najd and Byz games went completely unopposed...
