what about map trading?
-so I can steal somebody's map with espionage.. ok, ok..
but should I not also be able to either :
-force somebody to give up their maps in a peace agreement
-straight out trade for it

at the very least give some sort of "automate explorer" thing..
it can take ages to scout all the inlands of asia...

You can ask for maps from a nation with decent opinion of you at the cost of prestige, all you need is an army in a neighboring area. Colonial powers (Castile/Spain, Portugal, England, etc.) aren't likely to ever share their maps with you, but for everyone else you can usually get them if you buddy up to them.

Don't ask for this or PDX will make the DLC "MAPS MECHANICS" and i will have to buy it

To auto explore, set up an explorer as leader of a fleet, hit explore
Conquistadors do the same in America
Require a DLC

that works for oceans.. not for land in asia...
