(If you haven't just wait as there's going to be a sale soon as they are going to be releasing another dlc)
Just ask countries that don't like Denmark for support
The moderate way - build galleys ( I think 15 should be enough) and try to move your troops from one island to another. If you do it fast enough taht you can block Danish army in Gotland, you will not need help from anyone else. However, watch out for Norwegian fleet - I think they start with 3 carracks.
The funniest way - do nothing and wait until the Danish king dies. Normally the relationships between nations are low enough to get independence.
Hope this helps.
Although there is a slight problem these days. Denmark often allies muscovy right after start. Curiious why anyone hasnt mentioned them yet, quite a gamechanger for a swedish start. And trapping denmarks troops on gotland while they are sieging down their rebel fort is more effective than the strait at the start
True, but the alliance with Muscovy is not enough, Denmark also seems to refuse taking land from Novgorod, to not piss of Muscovy, but only when the player is Sweden. Denmark also chooses weird rivals that wont rival Denmark back, which makes it exponentially harder to get someone relevant to support your independence.
In my last game as Sweden, i had to wait until 1550 to get the "perfect" situation for an attack. Denmark was in a war and Muscovy finished one just now and wouldnt help Denmark. So with my two supporters England and Castille (lol), i attacked Denmark. What happened? Denmark immediately peaced out from their other war, called ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Muscovy in and none of my supporters cared to help at all. I wasted 100 years developing my nation only to lose anyway.
What exactly am i supposed to do? I dont want to wait 200 years to break the PU and finally do something on my own, especially because Muscovy would already be the greatest of threats. Sweden should be able to attack in the first 50 years with the possibility to actual win, but that seems to be bound to luck now, the hope of Lithuania not getting under a PU.
thats alot of restarts. They ally muscovy prettu much every game now after a months time.
Well, then you are basically f.ucked. I would suggest to try another nation until you have some dlc to make a sweden campagne worthwhile.
