What do you usually chose? It's true that monarch are precious but sometimes i feel they are not worth it the 0.5 inflation you get. Maybe if the event is +50 admin and 0.5 then it's sure worth it because the cost for reduction of 2 inflation is 75. But for diplomatic power i sincerely don't know :/ What do you think?

Depends on your playstyle and goals. Inflation can be cured with gold and inflation only affects gold so the extra 40 points is usually worth it.

That being said, 99% of the games you'll be playing you will have more than enough points for a WC, every tech and full idea groups, and spawning the first 3 institutions without going out of your way for it.

To be honest I never worry about inflation. It takes a long time consistently rising for it to be any trouble, and at that point you should be able to quite easily get rid of it.

some nations have problems with inflation, those that owns a lot of gold mine like the Aztecs. For them 0,5 inflation is a big deal, otherwise most of the time it's okay unless you have a huge debt.

Take the hit for the monarch points. A good advisor can lower inflation and/or using papal points if you are Catholic.
