You can make stories with abit of imagination that's why I like this game.
The Star and Crescent dlc gives a nice bit of flavour for playing as any muslim nation.
Play as Timurids you can go into India and form the Mughal Empire.
Forming the Inca Empire and trying to take over all of South America is a blast.
But most of them are Dutch repbulic events (specific to the republic) and not Netherland events (and those events happen even if you pick a monarchy) so doesn't that not quite fir the original question?
