How do I annex a whole country?

Hey, played as United States, conquered whole Mexico and have 100%. But if I want to select all provinces, I'm over 100%. Is there a way to annex all? Cause of war is imperialism.

You won't be able to take it all in a single war.
Take what you really want then wait out the truce and take the rest.

Also look if you can force them to release nations, that can be a good investment against larger nations, gives you multiple weaker nations to war against.

That's one of the best features in this game. If it's too big you can't take anything, and if you take too much rebels fire a lot and coalitions can get formed.

Each province is worth warscore & additively even with a 100% warscore you could only take a 100% of a 330% warscore country. So realistically it would take 3 100% wars and a bit to get the to a nice size where you can full annex.

On the province, there will be a figure of how much warscore a province is worth, if you hover over that number it will tell you the total warscore for the whole country.
