How to check my force limit?

I've got lost in game's interface ;_;

Open the production tab where you go to recruit soldiers. It shows your force limit at the bottom, along with how much you have. You can also look your nation up in the ledger.

Here is what I usually do. Open the Country View (large flag-like icon in upper left corner). Then click on military tab (helmet icon). This gives you a lot of info about your army and navy, including force limits, number of units, tradition, discipline, tactics level, and identifies your generals/admirals. This is also the place, where you recruit geberals, admirals, explorers and conquistidors and where you can convert your ruler or heir to a general.
