How to get 100 Absolutism?
I just recently reached the Age of Absolutism as Ming, and upon the start of the age I had 4 of the missions already fufilled. Now, there is an achievement I wouldn't mind getting that requires you to have 100 absolutism.

However, my Absolutism cap is 80 or 85 if I start a Golden Age. How do I raise this cap?

there is a 10 year disaster if you reach above 50 absolutism and at the end your cap is + 10. a golden age adds 5 absoltism max and legitimacy is also important for your cap. there are also some events that add it but since those are random dont count on them.

When you upgrade your government, it raises your absolutism cap. I went from 90 to 100 when I changed into a despotic monarchy.

Oh that's interesting, so I need to go through a disaster in order to be completely absolutist. That's kinda neat. I don't believe I can change my government type, being the Celestial Empire and all; and I wonder if meritocracy matters like legitimacy does.

Thanks yo.

This are all sources for absolutism:
Base value: +65.0
Empire Goverment rank +5.0
100% Religious unity +5.0
Great power +5.0
Golden Era +5.0
100 Legitimacy +10.0
Revolutionary republic +5.0
Prussian Monarchy +10.0
Enlightened Despotism +10.0
Despotic Monarchy +10.0
L'etat c'est moi (French decision) +20.0
The Absolutism (Swedish decision) +20.0
Frederick William's Absolutism (Prussian decision) +20.0
Court and Country Disaster +20 iirc

So yup as Ming only the court and country disaster will bring you to 100%.

Court And Country only has a chance to give +20 if you start/end the disaster with 60+ absolutism and beat the rebels though. Important to note.

A chance huh? Hmm, maybe Ming isn't the best nation to try and get this achievement with then. Honestly rebels based off of Ming's size could be stronger than any other nation in my game, and it would suck to go through that and not get the absolutism.

I'll probably just do it as someone else, I haven't played Prussia since I bought RoM, and this is even more reason to play them.

Thanks again.

Sweden, Russia and Prussia all get a lategame event which gives +20 max absolutism and France has a decision that does the same but requires a 5 admin ruler.

On a related note what happens to your current Absolutism value if your cap goes below that. Does it reset to the cap?

Is it possible to get "Local authorities crushed" modifier as Papal State's?
