How does Berber tradition - raid coast work?
My assumption is that ships will raid provinces when blockading. Is that it?

No.

You send ships to a sea tile infront of the coast and then click a button to raid. After that you move your ships to the next sea tile. You don't have to be in war either.

Its a very strong national idea, although it will harshly reduce your opinion.

Strong but requires alot of work in terms of timing. That or you have to get rid of all other nations that can also raid coasts

I have not bought Mare Nostrum yet, so actually I think the national idea is disabled for all. Ah well.

wich idea is it?

Not an idea, it's specific to certain countries, part of their traditions.

Yes, it is only available with the Mare Nostrum DLC and it specific to the Berber states in north africa and the Knights. I love it with the Knights, really helps them in their tough spot, but it is darn annoying when playing somebody near the Berbers... but a tad of realism I guess and there are counters.

You can simply send your heavy ships hunting pirate in the trade node of the province to reduce the raid efficiency.
