Hardest nation to play on EU4?

I don't have many hours in game,but i would like to challenge myself.So what is the hardest nation to play as,in this game.Thx

There is not really any nation which is especially hard.
Most of the difficulty comes from the first 1-20 years which can be restarted rather quick.

Dunno if it's still the case but in earlier version I found Nepal one of the hardest nations to play as, because india turned into a slaughterhouse pretty fast while tumurids were are constant thread after you blobbed a bit into delhi. Nowadays not so much I think cause they explode every single game and india won't get overrun form them in 146x anymore.

The hardest/most boring nowadays should be Odoyev. It's just a complete mess with ideas choice.(the need of too many adm ideas early) and heavily luck based for the first 3 wars. Add to this a really long time where can't do anything at all and you have a boring restart heavy country which even byzantium or serbia pales in comparsion.

I have to tell you that my last nepal games where back in 2014 so I really can't say if it's still the same now with all the free patches. On top of this: I had only like ~150hours played at this time so I was rather new and the ~10 times I played as them was mp so I couldn't load at all.

I only remember the countless wars in india where every indian nations fought useless wars only to get overrun in 146x from the timurids superior armysize. It's one of my worst memories of EUIV because I never got so hard punished from the AI again.

Even nowadays I have this bad feeling everytime I play a nation in india. :D

Any north or South American tribe isn't very easy, especially when the QFTNW nations show up. Try Byzantium and see if you can survive the Ottos, play as Georgia and see if you can survive the QQ :p
