You can conquer it yourself and sell it to your vassal (or give it if you have the right dlc).
TBH these missions annoy me. Sometimes I get a mission on my own subjects even -.-
The most important thing about missions is the free claims you get for taking them. Not only can you readly declare war to obtain the land you also receive lower coring costs from having a claim, even if you are onl diplomatically annexing a vassal. The completeiom bonuses are just icing on the already delicious cake.
