Get Poland/ Lithuania/ The Teutonic Order & Livonian order to support your independence, break free, take back your cores, then develop your land.

Declare independence as soon as possible and take advantage of Norway and Denmarks lack of being able to work together by targeting them seperately, after their armies have taken a beating siege Skane with preferably your allies sieging other places.

Take Skane in the war and you should have a decent amount of trade afterwards to make some money.

Poland never supports my independence, rival or not. They always get that -1000 thing that says they can't reach Denmark. Then usually Lithuania goes into PU with Poland, so they can't help.

Increase relations, (Especially with all of denmarks rivals), then under the alliance tab of diplomacy have them support your independence.

Watch out on who Denmark rivals and look at who hates them. Usually if you can get either Lithuania (if you war fast enough or if Poland takes a local) or England as base powers. Scotland, Pomerania, Teutonic order, Livonian order, novagrod can be OK at assisting just becareful as most of them can come with issues.

Both orders can be attacked by Poland, novagrod usually will be soon attacked by Muscovy, Scotland usually isn't attacked too early by England but if they lose too much. I'm just mentioning the potential issues if you don't kill Denmark fast enough then you will have allies that will act dumb.

You can also wait for Muscovy to gain a border but novagrod is easy to pick off when Muscovy attacks for easy land from them if you are independent. You will gain an instant alliance from supporters to expect for a call if someone thinks your independence war weakend them. You can always break any alliance.

Sweden has the chance to win against just the Union of Denmark and Norway. For how you ask it's just like an alliance. The support independence will have a yes or no and reasons. Usually rivals will always or easily turn to support and disliked nations can be improved

Make sure once your independent that you focus on building up Dalazkogen. I believe it is potentially one of the highest income provinces when developed

Its the Danish area that Sweden is adjacent to, you can press the F key to search for a province in game.

Do you have Common Sense DLC? If yes, wait until renaissance spawns and start developing Dalaskogen. Focus on Diplopoints, as it increases production value and trade. Putting a workshop here once you have developed a bit can easily net you 1 ducat per month just from production. It's insane. Also bring Stockholm above the treshhold for monthly gain in renaissance and put a temple here. Otherwise, try to capture the coastal centers of trade in the baltic region, especially Danzig and see if you can beat Moscovy to novgorod. You probably won't be able to get it, but at least Neva is usually still free to get after the first war between Moscuvy and Novgorod. However, conquest can of course only be done after you broke free from Denmark.

Do not be afraid to take loans to hire mercs and to pay for your army. I never have been able to get independence quickly as Sweden without taking loans. Also, sometimes England and Scotland will support your independence as well.

Don't be afraid to be a scum lord. Build as many galleys as you can, go over your naval force limit by 5 or 6. Debase currency a couple times maybe take out a couple loans. Your fleet should be larger than denmarks.

Denmark starts with a rebellion in gotland. When their troops get dropped off there move your fleet (I'd bring an admiral) into blockade position. When their fleet leaves declare independence. Their army will be stuck. Just get England for support. I like having flexibility for alliances post independence.

If you can secure Danzig/ southern Baltic early you will be wealthy.
