Start by taking Ireland. That will move you slightly toward the New World. All the little islands on the way there are taken by Portugal and Castile. SO you would need to war them to get those islands.
There is a Colonial Range dip adviser. Outside of increasing Diplo tech levels, the adviser, Exploration & Expansion idea groups and any policies coming from those idea groups, that's about it as England.
You should be able to vassalize though. So you could vassalize and then Annex in 10 years which should give you cores on the land.
You also may be able to reach Greenland.
Weird. Muscovy and Denmark usually do not ally.
Dip-tech level 7 gives +115 colonial range
An advisor gives +20%
Exploration idea group, idea 3 gives +50% colonial range
OR you could colonize Aguin (Africa) which also puts you a bit closer
