Lithuania-Ruthenia-Commonwealth

So basically, i am looking into starting a game as Lithuania, and i saw the possibility to form Ruthenia and get a good cultural union with Russian culture. Now, can i form Ruthenia and then form Commonwealth when i PU Poland?

Is it worth to take this path or should i try to just focus on PU Poland first then Commonwealth and no Ruthenia.

You cannot form the commonwealth as ruthenia or inherit poland by decision. Although ruthenia has pretty nice ideas and russian culture is good, so I wouldnt just rule it out. Besides the commonwealth is overrated. As a russian you can probably just pound poland into dust and take its provinces anyway. Being ruthenia is pretty unique as well.
