Battery?

Above the machines is a cat head and a battery. What does the battery mean? I have a pic but can't see how to post it.

For the main game (not the DLC) you find a small cat coin in every level. You can use the coin to play one of the arcade games in each stage, and whenever you find all the hidden object in the game, it gives you a battery.
