Sepia mode: Don't know what to do

I suddenly entered a "sepia photo mode" puzzle, but I have absolutely NO idea what I am supposed to be doing. No explanation, no hints, no help. Just a timer that eventually runs out.

Sepia mode is completely broken and I don't know, how such a massive bug remains even until now.

Same as with other search modes. The problem is that the image and the item placement is buggy, so it doesn't work (unless you spend 10 minutes slowly clicking across the image in lines again and again).

Well, that is annoying bug, i totally agree. If i get the SepiaPhoto mode in some level, i just press exit the level. And then i just press play this level again. I have never seen SepiaPhoto mode more than 2 times in a row for the same level. So after 1-2 skippings of level, you'll eventually get some playable mode. Thus, the only thing you waste is Energy...

When i collect plenty "magnifying glass" hints {for spending RelicCoins in SlotMachine}, i spend them on this mode sometimes :)

Another method of beating SepiaPhoto mode was described by Mickmane {it's good method, when you need to collect 6-8 items, but it's tiresome if you need to collect 18 items }.

I have taken a screen shot of my Sepia not working. It is on my home screen. You have to use your hints to find the actual non-showing figure to move with the sepia graphic of the rooms. I am tired of using hints. It is costly and doesn't let me like the game. If this is continued, I would have to worn other not to use this game as it's conducive to costing you more money.
