Anomaly 2 Soundtrack is missing

I have it. It was installed in the game folder. Now it creates an empty folder in the Steam music folder, and it is not found in the game folder. The appid is 237780, and the buildid is 0 (should be non-zero).

Common error easily fixable if devs look at it. Thanks in advance!

It was working, then it wasn't. So some dev tinkered with something and wrecked it. Why no dev has realized it, or read this, and fixed it after several months? Awful. It gives me worse ideas than the ones I've expressed.

Also it seems that you can't buy the soundtrack anymore.

Under the standard procedure when Steam added the new Soundtracks system last year, the Soundtrack page was converted from DLC to a standalone Soundtrack buyable on its own. So, the old DLC was flagged for deletion by an update which also triggered a download of the new Soundtrack folder for existing owners. Sadly, whoever at the game developer hit that switch, they failed to copy the files from the DLC depot to the Soundtrack depot, so the latter ended up being a 0 kb download. At around the same time, the developer seemingly went out of business (their own site is now gone), leaving no one to contact with this issue. Some time since my last post a few months ago, the soundtrack store page was removed (probably by someone at Valve/Steam as the simplest solution to the issue).

If i understand it right, this is the company who holds the rights for anomaly 2 (11bitstudios). And the website seems to be alive or is it not?

Yes the company is alive. It was the change to standalone soundtrack after they gave away all those Anomaly Bündle keys that caused the MP3 files to disappear.

Also, the soundtrack page is still visible, at least for me. You can't purchase it, but the page is there: /app/237780/Anomaly_2_Soundtrack/
