Jazzpunk was on sale so I tried it, it's nothing like Thank Goodness You're Here! It doesn't have a British sense of humour.
Of the suggestions so far, Untitled Goose Game is the closest to capturing it, and Jon Richardson's games (Four Last Things, The Procession to Calvary and Death of the Reprobate) capture the Monty Python vibe perfectly...
If you want a British sense of humour but not a comedy game, there is bleak British satire in spades in Not Tonight

However if you want a comedy game but not a British sense of humour, Jazzpunk reminded me very much of Thirty Flights of Loving and other Blendo games
