Stick for a kid?

Where should I find stick for a Kid (chapter 2) that want to "make a rifle from" ?
Kid is in Shepherd village

Much later on, I got a stick to use as a fishing pole, but then I couldn’t find the kid again.

I don’t think it’s avoidable, it’s just really far in. When the game tells you that you can fish now. That might be too late for the kid, but I didn’t find any other sticks in chapter 1.

On the top of Monastery mountain look far over the edges of the mountain and you may spot a new area... With a stick (and another cool interaction) in it.
