This is pretty bad bois
Like, combat is so bad, i wonder have they had no public test as im sure they would get a lot of feedback like this. It's so bad that after playing for mere 15 minutes, i'm done with the game while i can still refund. So bad so so bad

is not bad but is very confusing
That is ashame....how do you go wrong with a pirate game is beyond me
Mostismal said a great game for tatical lovers. Everything that rat shill gets for free is a great game...
Agree, combat needs streamlining. I quite like some options, like beating opponent on floor or pushing him away but overall feeling is that it is too overcomplicated. And redesign of icons on dices. Simply put I want combat that is easy to picku up, no one wants to study five pages of help.
And game crashed after I beat prison guard and got the ruby back.

Yeah, I was wondering what's going on. Was he always like this or has this changed in recent years / months?
I initially had issues with the combat as well, then I took a few minutes and read the tutorials and it made a lot more sense. No two fights are exactly the same and I found that quite refreshing.
I played the demo and the combat controls were atrocious. And it is short for 20euros.

I do watch Mortismal, but I've also learned that he and I have different tastes and to take everything he says with a grain of salt.
Gave up after 10 minutes, I dont think I've played a game with worse interface in the last 10 years.

Extremely unclear, no tooltips when you hover over things, confusing icons

After his over the top glowing review of Veilguard I was kinda done with him. Shame cause I basically watched all his vids
The combat is fine. It takes some getting used to and takes time. if you don't want to spend time understanding the combat, that is up to you.
I'm not saying the combat is "good" in the game, just takes time to understand it and could definitely do with some polish and better explanations.
The biggest problem is it is just very obtuse and not very straightforward.

My issue after playing through the first few chapters: fights where certain characters must stay alive, you'll deal with enemies that simply kill your units in one turn. And the insta-kill thing makes most missions of this type very annoying if you are down to the last unit and it just decides to kill one of the units that "must survive".
The devs really need to learn to make tooltips...it's like a must have for any board game...but in this game it's crazy...0 tooltips.
