The game mostly gates where you can go with abilities, but it is possible to get to out of reach places by abusing how mechanics works. With that in mind, it is possible to reach places that would technically require certain abilities before getting them, which could lead to being stuck.
First time playing this game I totally got to a certain place by insisting into getting to it no matter what. And I wasn't sure I could get out of the situation. But worst case scenario for that was resetting to the last save. Another situation happened where I kept trying to get to this one place, and after trying a lot, I got there. But, again, I was not sure I could get out of that situation. I did, however, find a save crystal. And I saved. In this case, if I was stuck, I would need to start over. I was not stuck, fortunately.
If you have slide, leaving that section on either side is possible and easy, although it uses a movement tech you might not know. Regardless of all of that, you have to sequence break hard to get there without any movement abilities, you're not supposed to be there without sunsetter even if it's technically possible.
I did end up finishing the game, but I didn't have wallkick when I was down here. And as Grow Island said, that area's just a loop, doesn't really serve much of a purpose. Didn't love the level design in this game personally.
The player is supposed to hit levers until the platform gets close to the pole.
Also, I need to try if a basic drift jump could work on that. It should give enough height to ledge grab.
Edit: It is not possible. It requires either wall kicks or high jump, or a high drift jump.
As for this, if you have solar wind i think an ultrahop could have worked but tbh its ok if you did not know if the mechanic was there. So I don't fault you for not using it and getting irritated.
But if you didn't even have solar wind...
My man literally went to the spookiest of spooky places on the map first before looking at most other places in depth. Ngl that would be rad as all hell.
