How hard is it to play with mouse and keyboard?

I don't have any game controllers for PC. How's this game for a mouse and keyboard peasant like myself?

Not too hard. heck may be easier than controller (but i will still use controller)!
controls are shown for both controller AND keyboard (i have 2 saves bc i want to see how i explore with different controls)

It's good with the platforming and camera movement, but not being able to map controls is a pain. I believe you can alter general controls via Steam itself, which is probably going to be the only way to adjust it. Having the slide mapped to Q while you're moving with WSAD makes dodging harder and limits the directions you can go (I would prefer shift instead so I can have all four movement buttons covered). I just started the game, so I'm hoping I won't run into any other difficulties with the mapping being janky in execution.

It shouldn't be too bad but if you're used to other games where CTRL to Slide and such could be a bother for control, you might feel disorientated at first.

I recommend getting a cheap Stadia controller and flashing the bluetooth on them; Google extended the deadline to December 2024 now since people are realising they make for great cheap wireless options.
