What's the point of throwing the dream breaker?

Just curious. I beat the game and absolutely loved it, but never had a single use for throwing it.

You can kick it in mid-air to send it directly into an enemy.

Yeah, you can kick the weapon. It's really hard to do, but it's also the single strongest attack in the game

It's super cool, does an auto-targeted shot when you kick it. tbh the wooshing and super loud clank had me throwing it all the time just for fun, love how chunky it sounds

Haha yea, now I'm just going through the world looking for anything I missed and killing everything I see with the sword kick. Very satisfying

So we can't use the objectively coolest move on the final encounter, or else we'll probably lose the weapon and die
Kinda sucks, but that's life
Then again, maybe it was just a bug that it didn't pop back in like in my previous testing... technology!

I beat the last boss using primarily the dreambreaker jump kick attack. If the weapon falls off the stages it just appears on the other side of it.

Throwing the Dreambreaker also produces light before you get that ability that lets it glow much more brightly in dark areas. So, you can legitimately navigate the dark areas of the Underbelly early in the game.
