Option to disable Slow-Mo?
More often than not, the Slow-Mo screws with my timing when I'm trying to maneuver instead of helping me avoid being murdered. So why not have the option to shut it off completely? When I'm scooting around at speed 50, I'd like to be able to take chances without having the jarring Slow-Mo thing bring everything to a crawl.

Anyone?

Sorry, but I think the slow motion only shows you that you are not fast enough :-)
Without slow motion you would also be burdered but you will not see it, also because you not fast enough :-) Take it easy!!!!!!

Would you rather have no slow-mo, die and bring down your speed to 40 (and thus making it near impossible to top your score)? Or have it available to you and provide a Last Chance opportunity to use a bomb (or take that chance)? Because no one likes to die without having some assistance first.

Honestly, yes, I'm pretty sure that's the point I'm making. I'd rather have the option to not have slow-mo, because it's a crutch that I don't like being forced to use. Some people might need it, some might like it being there, and some might find it annoying. I'd just like a way to turn it on or off when picking mazes/styles/music/etc.

If slo-mo was purely a convenience, then disabling it would be a nice option to have, but I think it has to be kept in mind that during slo-mo, the timer continues at the usual speed, and some people would say that this could be considered a gameplay element, a kind of punishment for getting into situations which are too close. I think an option to disable slo-mo would be a nice thing to have, but I would want that option to have a separate leaderboard.

They mentioned in a Namco Generations blog that they were planning to add the manual slowdown feature with a press of a button. However, they said that it is pointless that they don't have time to utilize it. So they instead put the slow mo in use towards danger. Also, we can slow Pac down (but not the game) by holding the Bomb button.

Slow mo makes the time trials much more interesting. A couple slow downs is the difference between a great run and restarting.

you know how impossible this game would be without slow-mo? you're insane dude. learning to control pacman during the close calls is part of the game. plus like others have mentioned, managing the amount of time you spend in slow motion (the timer doesn't slow down too) is part of getting a super high score versus just a regular sort of high score.
