Question about playing offline?

I tend to play online when I'm on wifi. However, I've started having enough time to play this game when I'm in areas that don't have wifi as well. My question is, do my scores and replays get saved and published when I go back online? I'm afraid that I'll finally beat my best score on Highway after two years and find that my score won't be uploaded to the leaderboards because I was offline when I beat it.
