DS2 Multiplayer problem

I downloaded cracked ds2. I liked it. I bought it in steam. Now, i want to play coop or pvp in DS2. I cant. What is wrong? I can read other msgs. I can put my own msgs. But... I cant use "multiplayer stones" Nobody can fight me and i cant fight anyone. How should i do it ? I have a lot of "multiplayer stones" but i cant activate it. I used "Human effigy" idk why should it help but nobody still want to fight me :(

Penetrator has DARK SOULS™ II

go to the cat in majula and try abandoning a covenant. there is a stone structure in majula which if u enter its covenant will restrict co-op. and u cant use dos 'multiplayer stones' right at the two starting areas, majula and things betwixt.

I did not adobted any covenant. And i went far enought from majula...

Did you burn human effigy? Do you have steam ports enabled on router? You shure you are not in the champions covenant?

UPD
I met some 'sign'. Other player put it. i used it and thay came to help me. Idk why i did not meet these sign earlyer but now all is ok. I thought multiplayer part is bigger then 0.1% of game, now it looks like 0.1% coz i can get m8s only for boses and i dont need them to kill a boss :(

NG or NG+?

On NG+ there are less signs down, you have to specifically ask people to help you.
