Just kite if you're magic, if you can't do that then farm some souls, get the STR attribute up and buy a claymore from the head only guy.
Stun lock for DAYS.
GLS could 1 shot most stuff.
Which i'm sure people never use the first playthrough. And which i'm sure doesn't work on Smelter Demon and you will keep re-running the whole area again and again.
Dark orb wrecks the knights. Great soul arrow for the annoying archer near the dull ember. Soul spear/affinity/dark orb on the smelter boss (you did summon luca right?).
Second to the third bonfire, jst use affinity or homing soul mass on the turtle guys in the tight hallways. Can easily pew the bow knights, or hit the plates to drop them into the lava - something I rarely see hosts do.
Old Iron King is a joke for magic users. Stand in the safe spot and dodge all his attacks, when he submerges, run over to where he was and wait for him to pop up in the same spot, abuse and repeat.
Not all sorcerers are created equal. Some of us like using spears, swords, and clubs to save on limited spells.
But the Iron Keep is easy as s**t, especially as a caster... provided your Agility is 100-110.
