Faith build advice ? best charms/ upgraid path ?

this is my first time with miricals ... im coming straight off dark souls 1 where it was all about mag agjust so what is it with dark souls 2 ? since im doing miricals and maybe some hexes later im looking for any advice. i already have been putting lots of points into faith.

also in ds 1 the amount of casts you had with even the basic lightning spears was a lot higher. any way to increase that ?

also for a beginer at miricals how should i be focusing on upgraiding my charm ? or on putting points into faith ?

Hexers hood
dragon chime (lightning infused)
Some kind of shield or sword idk go with your preference. Build your stats to have at least 61 faith for the highest castable spell, or 65..idr the rest adjust to your current soul level

Yea unless you plan to go through multiple gameplays ot gain mass lightning spears etc.

ok so hexes it is for offence . so how does one find their first hexes. i have yet to fight the sinner

OK so i have all the hexes from both of thoes 2 and my faith is 25 and my intel 20. atm a sorc hex build is looking better then hex faith which i had originally wanted. the hexes that cost souls to cast are they worth it ?
