Two doors blocked by black fog in Ivory DLC.

I've already googled it without any luck. How can I open the passages blocked by dark fog in the castle of the Ivory king DLC. I've beaten the boss, got access to the staircase above etc.
I guess I'm missing an important clue here.

you must be invaded, but then again you would probably notice that

could be a glitch but that just suck if it is

NO, im saying there are fog gates when under invasion around your area. and you can only exit through a boss fog gate.

but this is not it in your case i think...dunno sorry

ooooor there are some scripted invades in the third dlc that could do that, maybe you have to find and kill the NPC invader....

If you're talking about the portals in the boss room that the enemies spew out of, that's all they're there for. You can't do anything with them.

Na, I already did that. Basically, this whole section around the bonfire, and the room with the empty chair is a mystery to me. I'm probably missing a secret door or a drop ledge...

It seems to me that you just lost your way in the DLC and you are not even close o finishing it. There are 3 bosses and 4 bonfires (or 5 not sure right now too lazy to check). you should look around for unlocked areas after killing Aava the kings pet and so on....oor add me and I can help as a summon to guide you :)

Yep, I just realized that. The fog wall must have been a bug. I found another knight and the other ...cought... half of the map. Thanks

LOL, I'm not stupid y'all. I just forgot that you have to actually equip the torch before you can light anything in this game. Mostly you get a button prompt when you can manipulate items.
