but yes, you're right, some dlc items really help sl1 characters a lot; on the other hand, some dlc bosses are much more annoying than the ds1-dlc counterparts, so i'd see why some of these items make sense when a sl1 char has to fight the fume knight, or aava, for example
Chaos Reinforced Club +5 - 195 Phys/223 Fire
With 10 Humanity - 236 Phys/269 Fire
Granted, Pyro in those days did ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of damage.
Although I do want to see what the average player would think if they looked at a summon sign, saw the name 'LevelOneSoul', and saw the dude in Jester's with a Greataxe. Or an Old Knight Hammer, infused with fire, then buffed with Flame Weapon.
Fire Old Knight Hammer +10 - 350 Phys/ 350 Fire
When Buffed with Flame Weapon - 350 Phys/520 fire
That can happen now.
Oh yes.
And we have rings like the Simpleton's Ring which gives us +5 ADP. Add in the Vessel Shield for +1 ADP and our combined total of 12 ADP and 6 ATT gives us 90 Agility.
That's just enough to bump up our rolls I-frames a little bit if you need the extra boost. Now we have 9 frames instead of 8, while still not a lot, it has value.
SL1 can get 92 agility: 2 Pieces of Peasant's Gear (not counting hat) and Simpleton's Ring. Helps a bit against those wide attacks.
