If you are new to the Blue Sentinals or BoB, then it could be that you are fighting high-ranking covenant members. As you get higher in rank in those covenants, you get a corona of energy that grows larger until Rank 3. It starts at Rank 2, if memory serves, after 50-100 kills in each covenant's respective arenas, NOT during invasions with cracked red/blue eye gems.
Well he is definitely not new with 930hours of gameplay. So i would guess they are using either iron flash or numbness or have surpassed the 150 kill rank but that would be obvious but the others are not quite white more like grey.
Also a question on my part whats up with the green aura are people using balms in the arena or what because thats just incredibly tryhard.
Not really. Balm-up if you are need to use a weapon/shield/spell/armor that you are just shy of being able to use... and you don't have it either spiced down or are wearing on of the stat-boosting rings. Besides, even a weapon with an S-ranked stat requirement isn't going to achieve a huge boost in damage, balm or no balm. They still have to hit you first.
A try-hard is when someone uses a script-engine for PvP, full stop.
Also its such a pain to put on all those buffs all the time, and balms are hard to come by.
Try hardness in any game is a state of mind not the use trainers and such.
If your state of mind tells you that using cheats/trainers is the key to victory, then something is wrong. All items, stats, and builds in-game can be beaten by two simple things: keen observation and patience.
Also, if you are letting someone have the time to buff (or re-buff) after the portculus retracts, you are doing something wrong.
Sometimes I just want to apply a useless buff that looks cool, like the petrification resist one. Most green auras are stamina regen buffs, which could be from a shield, cloranthy ring, or green blossom. The common fruit one is also bright green, which is poison resist. The balms are the same color as the item suggests they would be, purple for dexterity, blue for intelligence, etc.
To mr1029384756: dont be mad. You misunderstood me it seems. I hate hackers and such and your answer was not in correlation with mine at all, calm down. Also the topic is about the arena and there you have the time to buff i just dont think its cool.
To Tephros83: Thanks man for your answer but I have 1200+ hours in the game so i definitely know the chloranty effect and most things in game :), i am just not familiar with the balms and such. What i saw many time in the arena is probably the dex balm paired with chaos blade...
