two NPCS fighting

so i am in the area near to the spider queen boss and there are two npcs fighting..
whom should i kill?

i didnt find a answer on google because i dont how to search for these guys

Pate and Creighton. If you follow all the threads of their sidequest, you learn that one is a backstabbing thief and a jerk, sending people to their death and looting whatever he can off them, while the other is murderer and a thief, who cares about little more then himself.

Your rewards are nigh identical either way. Old Lady Malentia will sell the armor and shield of the one who dies, while the victor will hand you their own armor, so you can easily get both. The victor also gives you a key to a room in the area that has a trapped treasure chest, and will mock you once the trap goes off, regardless of it harming you.

My advice: Run in, attack whoever you can lock onto first, and show no mercy.

If you killed the last giant with pate he should have given you his armor.
So kill him and Creighton will give you his armor. Then kill Creighton b/c he's evil anyway and betrays you
