Power Stance Blue Flame question...

Am i a scumbag for using it? I'm playing my first playthrough, and figured i would try a build that works, rather than attempting to haphazardly put my own together, just wondering if i should avoid pvp or not.

blue flame is fine, pvp all you want. ice rapier and katanas make you scummy, but even thay arent that bad.

really the only truly dishonerable thing you can do in pvp is set up 2v1 or 3v1 fights in your favor.

Seems cool but the heavy attack on your power stance won't cast a spell. I'd Like to see it in action

if its your right hand you might still be able to cast.

@ OP forgot to say, if you are planing on useing it for PVE you might want to have another wepon planed out for earlyer, since you wont be able to get a blue flame untill 2/3rds of the way through the game.

I'm playing my first sorc now, using blue flame and I don't see whats so good about it. It has low casting speed, no R2 attack obviously and putting GMW on it only increases damage by like 15%. It can't cast hexes and it does very little physical damage after you've magic stoned it.

Like it's not bad, but I can't see how it could be considered OP.

People will always complain about weapons that can also cast. Because they can be close and long range without even switching weapons.

Powerstanced blue flames with buffs on both of them does a lot of damage, and at the same time if someone rolls away to heal you can instantly toss a soul spear at them instead of having to switch to do it, so you don't even lose your buff in the process

git gud, you rly can't fight vs most popular weapons ? many users use ice rapier you still can't counter it ? rly how bad you are

Ice rapier is "op" BECAUSE of its properties.
a) great poke with r1, same with most rapiers, but better scaling then some of them
b) r2 = some projectil, which is both casted fast AND deals an ammount of dmg which is annoying

its like having spells tied to a really great rapier and also the range is fine!


@OP: what is wrong doing builds which doesnt make sense?

i thought of creating 1 character each slot, which only uses one set of items, for example an "orc" which uses axes and leather armor, with his head being armorless and stuff like this

I personally used a Lightning Varangian Sword +8 until i got to the undead crypt, it worked quite well.
